Development Plans

We may have one of the best greens in Sussex, but unfortunately, as much as we love our old building, the clubhouse doesn’t quite come up to these same high standards. Our current wooden pavilion was built in the 1930s and was fine for a “men only membership” of around 50, but is now inadequate for the modern day needs of a growing Mixed Club in excess of 120 members.

We are therefore in the process of raising funds for a new building which will give us :-

All year round usage

Short Mat bowling

Bar and Kitchen facilities

Sufficient space for post-match meals and other entertainment for +100 people

Much needed improved changing room facilities, including toilets and locker space

Improved access

We are applying for various grants and funding, but realise we also have to raise funds ourselves and have therefore set the Membership a target of raising £75,000

Help us to reach that target, by participating in one of our various schemes.

The 100 Club for details see below.

Buy A Brick

Make a Loan to the club

Make a Bequest to the club

There will be a recognition scheme for everyone who makes a donation to the club and they will also have their names permanently recorded in our Book of Thanks.

For further details on any of the schemes, please contact our Club President – Simon Tooley at :-

Alternatively, if you would like to make a donation, please make any cheques payable to Chichester Bowling Club and send it with a covering letter marked “Pavilion Fund” to Simon at :-
